..At the end of the day the plastic crate for the transport of bottles is something like a modern amphora, as an important cultural asset and in many ways similarly to the ancient ceramic carafes that we consider to be very valuable today. In our view these plastic crates are easily good enough as a modern sculptural medium…There are so many prefabricated things around us, which are more or less useful. It is our request, to transform some of them to open our life world for new perspectives and new meanings. Whatever: It is less essential that we possess things but more what we are doing with them. It can be pretty inspiring just to look at a beautiful thing–and sometimes it´s better to deal with an object just as a functional thing.
